About the Role: Full time – Fixed Term (Until 10/02/26). Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing approaches that positively change key safety behaviours on the transport network. Leading a small team and aligning with the broader DTP marketing team, the role must identify audiences and market segments to develop behaviour change and other marketing strategies to ensure effective customer understanding and safety behaviours on the transport network. Position Outcomes: Lead effectively, including guidance and support for team members. Campaigns and initiatives that change customer and community behaviour and attitudes are developed, impliment and measured. Day-to-day operations and overarching planning and governance are managed to ensure opportunities are proactively identified to promote key messages, programs and initiatives. Concepts and ideas to improve transport customer experience are developed in partnership with project teams, other branches within DTP and Transport Operators.
Ensure successful business relationships are achieved with internal and external stakeholders across the life cycle of marketing projects.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: The ideal candidate for the Marketing Manager position will be an accomplished leader who thrives in collaborative environments, actively guiding others to create a culture of knowledge-sharing and overcoming barriers to ensure successful teamwork. They will demonstrate exceptional flexibility and adaptability, quickly adjusting systems and processes to meet changing priorities and situations. With a strong focus on project delivery, the candidate will effectively translate strategies into actionable programs, defining clear governance structures to manage risks and maximize the likelihood of success. Additionally, they will excel in influencing and persuading stakeholders, building behind-the-scenes support to secure buy-in and ownership, and leveraging indirect influence to achieve outcomes. The ideal candidate will also be skilled in team management, aligning work activities with operational plans and organizational goals, while effectively allocating tasks and role modeling leadership within their team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Mandatory. An appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in marketing, communications or similar discipline. Strong stakeholder relationship skills
Desirable: Experience in safety messaging and behaviour change marketing. Experience leading a small team.
