Let’s talk about the roles and responsibilities: As a Qlik Developer, you are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Qlik Sense and QlikView. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers—to gather requirements, model data efficiently, and deliver insightful visualizations that drive data-informed decisions, particularly within a banking and fraud analytics context. Your role also involves ensuring data accuracy, optimizing performance, and maintaining compliance with data governance and security standards.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Qlik Sense and QlikView. Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Build and optimize data models to ensure performance, scalability, and usability of dashboards. Integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL databases, APIs, and cloud platforms, to support reporting needs.
Conduct unit testing and validation of data to ensure accuracy and consistency in reports. Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and banking security standards. Provide technical support and training to end users and internal teams on using Qlik tools effectively. Continuously monitor performance and suggest improvements to enhance visualization efficiency and data load times.
Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Qlik Sense and/or QlikView development. Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Experience in building complex data models and transforming raw data into meaningful business insights. Familiarity with banking domain processes, especially fraud detection, transaction monitoring, and risk analytics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance regulations.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with large datasets and real-time analytics. Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R is a plus. Qlik certifications (Qlik Sense Business Analyst/Qlik Sense Data Architect) will be an advantage.
