Architectural Draftsperson, All rounder, 3JSZ Design Studios, Sydney, NSW, Architectural Drafting (Design & Architecture), Casual/Vacation, $30–$40 per hour.

3JSZ Design Studios is a Sydney-based architectural practice specializing in residential design, including new builds, alterations and additions, duplexes, and small-scale multi-residential projects. We are committed to delivering high-quality, contextual, and practical architectural solutions for our clients — and we are looking for a capable and detail-oriented team member to support our growing project workload.

We are currently seeking a motivated architectural draftsperson/all-rounder to assist across drafting, documentation, and preparation of planning reports. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is hands-on, organized, and looking to build experience in a small studio environment where your contribution will be valued.

Responsibilities: Assist in preparing architectural drawings and documentation across DA, CDC, and CC stages. Draft floor plans, elevations, sections, and site plans with a high level of accuracy. Prepare supporting planning documentation such as SEE reports, heritage statements, and BASIX/NatHERS documentation (with guidance). Work with architects to ensure drawings meet council requirements and planning controls. Coordinate markups and revisions based on feedback. Assist with consultant coordination and general project support as needed.

About You: Proficient in drafting software such as AutoCAD (preferred), Revit, or similar. Strong understanding of residential design, BCA, and local council planning controls. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Clear written communication, with the ability to prepare basic planning or architectural reports. Able to work independently and take initiative while following direction. Familiarity with the NSW planning system is highly regarded. A genuine interest in residential architecture and contributing to a collaborative team.

Qualifications: 0–3+ years of industry experience (students currently studying a Masters's degree, or about to final year Bachelor's degree welcome to apply if confident in drafting and writing ability)

Have, or willing to apply for, a Sole Trade ABN (Australian Business Number) for payment purposes
