The role: We are seeking a passionate, long-term Assistant Development Manager/Project Coordinator to join our team, supporting the directors and senior development managers in delivering both boutique residential and build-to-rent development projects in Brisbane. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full property development lifecycle: from feasibility studies, site acquisition, financing, planning and design, Development Approval (DA), project marketing strategies, and construction tender through to construction completion and building complex management.
The ideal candidate will play a vital support role in assisting with the daily communication and coordination of various stakeholders, including external project managers, design consultants, architects, town planners, project marketers, construction/building contractors, and body corporate managers. The final salary package will depend on the candidate's experience and the scope of work agreed upon. As we are looking for a long-term team member, the role will offer a potential future partnership position with additional project delivery bonuses.
Key Responsibilities: Assist senior management in the coordination and management of residential property development projects and buildings. With guidance from senior management and in collaboration with external project managers, conduct site acquisition and project feasibility studies, review consultant selections, coordinate development approvals with town planners, implement marketing strategies with project marketers, and attend construction project control meetings.
Communicate with and coordinate between body corporate managers, committee members, and maintenance contractors for other project buildings under Sanchi’s management rights.
Key Requirements: Having a ‘can-do' attitude and being enthusiastic about pursuing a long-term career in the property development and complex management industry. Previous experience or qualifications in property, construction, architecture, project coordination, or related disciplines is a must, with property development experience being a plus. Strong attention to detail, analytical and innovative in tackling and solving problems. Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to track multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Capable of working independently after receiving guided instructions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Native-level proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is a must. Conversational Chinese is a plus but not essential.
