Position Description
Reporting directly to the payroll manager, you will be responsible for
Ensuring payroll is processed in accordance with Awards, Agreements, Company Policy and Procedures, FairWork, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and other relevant legislative requirements
Ensuring payments to staff are compliant, correct and timely
Educate the team on changes to legislation when required
Identify process improvement strategies with current systems and processes, particularly across governance framework
Conduct required audits and relevant reviews
Respond to escalated payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in an efficient and timely manner
Prepare and review various payroll reports
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar senior payroll position along with the following skills and attributes:
Strong technical knowledge when dealing with payroll compliance and governance
Demonstrated capability to identify, implement and optimise payroll technologies
Confident when dealing with stakeholders both internal and external
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Experienced in reviewing/updating procedural documentation
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
