Support Worker

CAPAH Multicultural Association Incorporated Illawarra and South Coast Community Services and Development Aged and Disability Support - Servicing from Helensburgh to Ulladulla (2508 and 2541 postcodes).

We are currently looking for support workers to join us, working on a casual basis across weekdays and weekends.

The overall purpose of the role is to provide personal care and support in a range of activities of daily living intended to meet the consumer’s defined goals. These can include hygiene, dressing and grooming, community access, social support, shopping, meal preparation, respite support, and domestic assistance.

Enjoy everyday living tasks, including cleaning, cooking, showering, shopping, and assisting people to learn these skills

Take pride in your work, and adapt your approach to meet the individual client’s needs.

Skills and experience required:

Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual support, disability, community services or equivalent

First Aid Certificate

A current National Police certificate

Current driver's license with registered and reliable vehicle

Physically capable of meeting the requirements of the role

Clearance check via NDIS

Mandatory NDIS Modules

Desirable:

Ability to speak a second language

Completion of “ Assist with Medication” unit or equivalent
