The Waratah is located in the beating heart of Darlinghurst. We're an Australian-inspired restaurant and bar, championing NSW producers, produce, people, community, and stories. The Waratah is modeled on what we love about Australian F&B: pub culture, First Nations produce, grower-to-venue relationships, and nostalgia.

We are looking for passionate and professional chefs with 2 years of similar experience.

The venue features two different floors/offerings. Downstairs, a busy public bar. Upstairs, a 70-seat dining room with a wraparound veranda and rooftop space.

We are looking for chefs who are well versed in kitchen systems but, above all, possess a passion for service and the restaurant industry and want to work with us for a reason.

Employees can expect:

50% staff discount across all current and future venues.

Paid overtime

A 30% share of weekly tips.

Regular supplier visits (growers, farms, etc.)

A scheduled monthly training program

A personal 1-on-1 development program.

This is a salaried position based on experience, references, interviews, and trials, with a package range between $75,000 and $85,000.
