About the Role

We are looking for a technical operations coordinator to oversee our day-to-day production operations and lead a small team of technicians and warehouse staff. This hands-on leadership role involves coordinating service jobs, managing workflows in the warehouse and assembly area, and supporting the operations manager in delivering high-quality, timely support to our customers.

The ideal candidate has a background in electronics or industrial systems and experience managing a small team. You’ll be responsible for making sure service work is organized, parts and inventory are under control, and technicians are supported to get the job done right.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate Activities: Schedule and assign service, repair, and installation tasks to technicians.

Workshop Leadership: Lead daily team meetings, assign tasks, and resolve operational or workflow issues.

Customer Support: Act as a key contact for customers on service matters, providing updates and resolving issues efficiently.

Work Order Management: Create, track, and close service and repair orders, including detailed recording of labor and parts.

Inventory Oversight: Monitor stock levels, manage parts ordering, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability.

Quality Assurance: Review completed work for accuracy and quality, and ensure customer feedback is addressed.

Service Reporting: Prepare basic reports on service status, turnaround times, and technician performance.

Support Invoicing: Provide accurate service data to the finance team to enable timely billing.

Health & Safety: Promote safe working practices in the workshop and ensure OH&S compliance.

About You

Experience in a technical coordination or service operations role

Strong leadership and people management skills

Background or qualification in electronics, instrumentation or industrial systems highly regarded

Great communication and organisation skills

Proactive problem-solver, able to work independently and within a team

Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); familiarity with service job software is a plus

Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment

Desirable

Previous experience managing or mentoring a small team

Knowledge of flow measurement, industrial controls, or process instrumentation

Familiarity with basic procurement and inventory processes

Experience with billing or service-related administration
