About the role
The legal team at Cbus works closely with the broader business on a range of strategic legal matters related to legal risk mitigation, transaction implementation, and the provision of commercially astute legal advice. As a legal counsel at Cbus, you’ll be part of a very experienced, talented, and large in-house legal team with proven expertise delivering high-quality strategic legal advice on M&A (mergers & acquisitions), funds management, debt finance, structured finance, and/or derivatives.
This opportunity sits within our Investments legal team. As a legal counsel within the investments legal team, you will support and lead complex transactions and commercial contract negotiations and implement processes and procedures on a range of high-profile and value-added legal matters. You will work on initiatives relating to private markets, capital and equity markets, ESG, fund operations, regulatory projects, and regulatory compliance.

About You
Background in either M&A, funds management, or debt finance.
3 years PQE+ +
Ideally you will have come from private practice or a regulator and be looking to move in-house or will already have gained some in-house exposure.
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and business partnering skills with a proactive and dynamic approach.
Commercially astute and demonstrated experience in a regulated environment.
