Construction Manager Required Previous Experience in Bridge/tunnels Construction Project

Region: Jeddah (Jeddah/Riyadh)

Objectives: Manage worksites for new construction as well as remodeling projects, coordinating activities and ensuring that all work is in sync with project goals and objectives. Provide directions to general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors when doing groundwork to ensure that quality standards are being met. Liaise with engineers, architects, and others working on a project. Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources. Identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues. Adherent to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements. Overseeing the logistical requirements of a project. Delegating work to colleagues within your team. Meeting regularly with clients, third parties, and other managers to report on progress.

Setting targets, objectives, and responsibilities for all supervised staff. Regularly reviewing timings, budget, labor, risk, and project plans to ensure work stays on track. Conducting site visits to inspect work, check materials, and ensure staff are following health and safety guidelines. Dealing with contracts and mitigating the impact of any issues. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within contract timescales. Working in an office and on a construction site.

Responsibilities: collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialists; hire full-time and part-time subcontractors and laborers and coordinate their schedules. Visit sites regularly during construction — including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress visits, punch walks, and closeouts — and attend status and coordination meetings. Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable and that tools and equipment are in good working condition. Maintain and update SOW and preconstruction documents, and meet contract obligations by developing relationships with reliable contractors and vendors. Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions. Manage and motivate construction teams, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and addressing issues. Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction. Monitor construction quality, ensure adherence to building codes and regulations, and manage potential mistakes and delays.

Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site and comply with safety regulations.

Maintain accurate records of project progress, documentation, and correspondence.

Requirements and skills: Knowledge of building and construction. Leadership qualities. Time management skills. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to solve problems and use your initiative. Three or more years of experience in managing construction sites. Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and an ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts. Knowledge of building-code requirements and scheduling methods. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for quality. Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices. Ability to communicate in more than one language. Professional certification, such as CCM (certified construction manager), AC (associate constructor), or CPC (certified professional constructor), will be an extra. Working knowledge of green building practices.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or a related field from an accredited university. Experience at least 3 years as a CM and a total of 10 years as a minimum. Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000 and/or NQA-1. Construction field experience. Teamwork and communication skills. Excellent mathematical, IT, and analytical skills. Good attention to detail. Project and budget management skills.
