Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will manage the accounts payable and receivable functions across the group and its operational properties. You'll ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions, contribute to smooth cash cashflow management, and help maintain a strong internal control environment.

Description

Accounts Payable (AP):

Process invoices, EFTs, and credit card payments with appropriate coding and authorisation

Conduct monthly and weekly payment runs, and manage the creditor database

Respond to internal and external payment queries

Assist with month-end closing and reporting tasks

Accounts Receivable (AR):

Process daily, weekly, and monthly receipts

Assist with rental payment receipting and debtor account maintenance

Complete reconciliations and support the operational property teams

Maintain AR records and support month-end processes

Cash Flow and Banking:

Monitor and advise on funding needs

Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and support the payment approval process

Compliance, Process, and Systems:

Ensure AP/AR practices meet tax and regulatory standards

Identify and support opportunities for process improvement

Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with internal policies

Profile

A successful accounts officer should have

Demonstrated experience in a similar accounts role

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

A collaborative, team-oriented approach and willingness to improve processes

Experience in the property sector or residential operations is a plus

Job Offer

A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 package
