TasRespite and Support is looking for support workers with an interest in psychosocial disability.

Position: Support Worker

Location: [Hobart

Employment Type: [Casual]

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with complex psychosocial needs.

Support participants in their daily living activities, building their independence and resilience.

Work collaboratively with other professionals and family members to ensure consistent and effective support.

Maintain a safe and respectful environment, promoting positive relationships.

You must have, at a minimum:

Must hold a relevant Cert III, Cert IV, diploma, or tertiary qualification (or its equivalent), including demonstrated knowledge or experience in working with NDIS participants with complex needs.

Most hold WWVP cards and NDIS Worker Endorsement Registration or are willing to obtain them.

Access to a reliable and roadworthy car for work purposes, comprehensive insurance and a valid Full Tasmanian Driving License

Current accreditation in medication administration, first aid, fire safety, manual handling, or the capacity to gain competency within the first 3 months of employment.

Must maintain registrations and qualifications at all times.

Completed NDIS Worker Orientation.

National Police Check

Access to a smartphone or another device with internet access.

Must agree and sign a confidentiality form to protect organizational and participants’ information at all times.
