Job Title: Financial Manager
Position Overview: The Financial Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the financial functions across a diverse group of companies operating in IT, maintenance (including waste management), logistics, and construction. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong ability to analyze financial data, optimize operations, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting each company's growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will excel in multi-company environments and have a proven track record of driving financial efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis
Consolidation and Reporting: Prepare consolidated financial statements and manage periodic reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for the group.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and oversee the group’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes, ensuring alignment with business goals across all four companies.
Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare variance analysis to help each company identify areas of improvement.
2. Operational Financial Management
Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning to ensure liquidity is maintained across the operations of all companies.
Cost Control: Implement cost management strategies to improve profitability and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
Financial Systems: Collaborate on the development and improvement of financial systems and ERP processes for consistent and efficient financial operations.
3. Strategic Planning and Support
Business Partnership: Work closely with operational leaders in each company to evaluate financial performance, investment opportunities, and project viability.
Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide financial insights and support decision-making during strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, or new market ventures.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks through strategic planning and effective internal controls.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Governance
Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations, including tax compliance and industry-specific financial guidelines.
Internal Controls: Develop, maintain, and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.
External Coordination: Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions as required.
5. Team Management and Development
Team Coordination: Supervise and mentor finance staff, ensuring smooth operations and continuity of processes across the diversified portfolio.
Training and Development: Facilitate ongoing professional development and training within the finance team.
Performance Management: Establish performance standards and conduct periodic evaluations to encourage a high-performance culture.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
Professional Certifications: CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within multi-company or diverse industry environments.
Technical Skills: Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with a focus on clarity and stakeholder engagement.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage cross-functional projects, and collaborate effectively with senior management.
