The Position

This supervisory role oversees three Albury Animal Management Facility employees, provides customer service excellence, and is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day operations at the Albury Animal Management Facility.

Qualifications & experience

Certificate III in Animal Studies, Business Administration or equivalent tertiary qualification/experience in a related discipline

Class C (standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have and maintain)

Authorised Implanter Accreditation - or ability to obtain

Euthanasia Qualification - or ability to obtain

Ability to hold and maintain the appropriate approval to possess, store, and administer pentobarbital (Lethabarb) for the euthanasia of animals, including.

Correct storage

Accurate record keeping and document management

Knowledge of euthanasia techniques

Understanding safety precautions

Adherence to ethical guidelines

Knowledge of relevant legislation governing the use of euthanasia in NSW

Effective communication

Tasks & responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance and operations of the AlburyCity Animal Management Facility in a manner that provides exceptional customer service to our community and compassionate care to the impounded animals.

Develop, implement, and coordinate the administration needs of the Animal Management Facility, including the development and maintenance of databases, electronic record-keeping systems, stock control and inventory, cash-handling procedures, and reporting functions. 

Assist in the delivery of facility operations, including daily cleaning and maintenance of the office and animal facilities.

Administer pentobarbital (Lethabarb) to euthanize animals in accordance with AlburyCity procedure.

Manage all complaints and grievances relating to the facility.

Hours

Based on a 38 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines
