The Position
Ensure the Council’s rating and revenue databases are accurately maintained and all notices are processed in accordance with relevant legislation in a timely manner. Assist the Supervisor of Revenue & Debt Management to foster a constructive and customer-focused team environment.
Working 35 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO

Qualifications & experience
A tertiary qualification in a business related discipline or equivalent relevant experience
Relevant work experience in a rating or financial environment
Tasks & responsibilities
To ensure the accuracy of the rating database on split properties and strata titles and the timely issuing of supplementary levies.
To ensure the Council's Valuation database is maintained correctly for Statement of Compliance returns and the budget/forecast processes.
Accurately maintain registers of Rates Supplementary issues
Ensure re-categorizations of rate accounts are performed in a timely manner.
Ensure monthly statements are issued, and perform monthly reconciliation between the sundry debtor ledger and general ledger.
Assist revenue officers with processing advice to debtors and credit notes.
To implement and monitor debt recovery relating to accounts receivable in accordance with the council's debt recovery guidelines.
Hours
Based on a 35-hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with an RDO in accordance with Albury City’s RDO guidelines.
