Salary range: $38.81 to $43.16 p.h. (AO3)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
About your opportunity
The purpose of this position is to assist consumers, carers, and families; service providers; and non-government organizations to develop a better understanding of the recovery framework and also to promote consumer and carer participation within inpatient units and community care units.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
Lived Experience: The position requires the incumbent to identify as having a personal “lived experience” of mental illness and recovery and be prepared to utilize their experience to assist others where appropriate and to be a role model for consumers and the wider community to overcome stigma and encourage personal development.
Certificate IV in Peer Work or the ability to undertake a Certificate IV in Peer Work.
Highly desirable: Experience working within a public mental health service or the NGO sector as a mental health peer worker.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
