About the Role
This role is based in Perth with regular weekly travel to Pilbara.
In this role you will
Create a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing, and coaching your team in conjunction with monitoring HSE compliance and ensuring safe working practices across the portfolio.
Provide leadership and decision-making to ensure the safe and successful delivery of the portfolio to the approved quality, cost, and schedule targets, achieving the approved business objectives and aligning with Our Requirements and the MAP Internal Standard.
Build mutually beneficial relationships with project stakeholders, including business and asset leadership teams and contracting partners.
Develop project execution strategies and plans to provide the best-fit project solutions to deliver business objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the portfolio to improve project efficiency and productivity and to mitigate risks.
Implement project construction and delivery resourcing plans to support predictable project delivery.
Develop team capability by providing individual development opportunities and ensuring a healthy succession pipeline within the portfolio.
Collaborate with project functions to ensure each project receives the required support to predictably deliver the portfolio.
Identify and implement project social value opportunities, including Indigenous contractor participation, sustainability initiatives, and support for business inclusion and diversity targets.
Ensure quality project reporting to support project leadership team engagement and meet business reporting requirements.
Ensure project handover plans are implemented to support successful handover to Operations and project stakeholders
About You
Background in a related technical field, including engineering, science, rehabilitation/contaminated sites/environment, project management, etc.
10-15 years' experience within mining, rehabilitation, contaminated sites or a related industry with particular emphasis on project delivery and project management
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including functional managers and discipline leads, BHP business units, vendors, and contractors
