Working with the Marketing and Media Strategy Manager, Disney Destinations, the Marketing and Asset Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day marketing communications function within the Consumer Marketing team. This person will support Disney Destinations International's (DDI) portfolio of brands (Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Resort, and Walt Disney World Resort) by delivering best-in-class marketing campaigns and content marketing activity as well as other marketing support across paid and owned channels and cross-LOB partnerships. This person is proactive, extremely organized, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is passionate about building breakthrough marketing campaigns and is well versed in supporting all the complex tasks and deliverables that go into a successful and cohesive plan rollout.
Areas of responsibility:
Execution and rollout of all above the line consumer direct paid media plans and marketing campaigns
Work closely with Marketing and Media Strategy Manager to drive consistent creative direction based on strategic objectives and KPIs
Localise and/or create marketing assets for all paid channels, e.g. digital, advertorial, OOH, radio, retail, TVC, etc.
Be a key conduit and communicate daily with our Media Agency to fulfill all Paid Media activity
Have a detailed knowledge of asset specs, deliverables and deadlines, and liaise closely with our media agency and other partners to ensure timely delivery
Brief in all creative assets to fulfill our marketing plans (via Monday)
Brief creative agencies and coordinate asset approvals with local and US-based teams
Monitor and track all media and agency budget spend
Work closely with the Social Media and Digital Content Specialist in the rollout of cohesive assets that support campaign objectives across consumer touchpoints
Execute Cross LOB campaigns and partnerships, including competitions and giveaways
Pro-actively maintain contacts and relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including Local and US legal, creative team(s)and various agency partners
Coordinate and partner with TWDC owned channels to deliver on DDI marketing strategy, i.e. Digital, CRM, Website, X-LOB
Assist with DDI web-based content, website deliverables and approvals—ensure campaign webpages are launched on strategy and on time
Support the development of internal CRM communications—creative assets, eDM builds, tracking and reporting
Prepare presentations, pitch documents, creative briefs, campaign performance summaries and post-campaign recaps as required
Provide consistent and timely communication to key stakeholders (including campaign optimisation and reporting)
Collaborate with other local DDI discipline partners across PR and Trade Marketing to drive innovative and cohesive campaigns
Broader DDI marketing support as required
Ideal experience:
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a marketing role within a fast-paced business environment
Tertiary degree qualification in marketing or similar
Knowledge of the Australian media and marketing landscape
Experience in localising and creating marketing assets
Strong budget management and financial tracking skills
Experience working closely with external agency teams and internal cross line of business partners
Proficient in adhering to brand guidelines, implementing brand safety measures, and securing necessary stakeholder approvals
Passion for The Walt Disney Company Brands/Franchises, with specific knowledge of the DDI portfolio, is an asset
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Travel or tourism background advantageous
