Mental health support worker (Community Integration Worker)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $10.50 to $14.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Speak French, Read English, Read French, Write English, Write French
Work Setting: Community or neighbourhood centre
Target Groups or Clients: Persons with mental health disabilities
Type of Community or Social Service: Education or training, Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders), Crime prevention, Programs dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Specific Skills: Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs, Conduct follow-up assessments, Resolve conflict situations, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
Additional Skills: Food preparation
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

Other Information:This is a day position, whose hours run Monday to Friday for 38 weeks a year. The incumbent will be required to organize programming jointly with the Director, Centre Horizon.
