Responsibilities:

Create manufacturing instructions

Create user manuals

Install machinery

Repair and maintain machinery

Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects

Assist in preparing design, drawings, and specifications

Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures

Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials

Computer-aided design (CAD)

Design tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures

Estimate costs and materials

Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications

Prepare contracts and tenders

Prepare standards and schedules

Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants

Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects

Test machines and equipment

Develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs

Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems
