Responsibilities:

Handle mooring lines, and splice and repair ropes, wire cables and cordage

Monitor engine, machinery and equipment indicators

Stand watch and steer ship or self-propelled vessel under the direction of an officer

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

First Aid Certificate

Transport Canada Bridge Watchman Certificate

Transport Canada Security Awareness Training for All Seafarers

Marine Emergency Duties Certificate

Transport Canada Dangerous Cargo Handling Endorsement
