About us
The Waikerie Hotel Motel is a successful community-owned hotel with modern facilities and varied aspects of the hospitality business. We are located in the South Australian Riverland. We are looking for an energetic person to lead a team in the role of food and beverage manager.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operation of the dining, bar, and function department. They will work closely with other management and staff to ensure the business needs are being met
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Diploma or higher in Hospitality and Restaurant Management (or equivalent) plus at least one year of experience as a Restaurant Manager; alternatively, at least three (3) years’ work experience as a Restaurant Manager.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
Must have attention to detail and have excellent organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Great customer service and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional organisational and management skills
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working alongside the food and beverage manager in running and supervising the daily operation of the hotel restaurant.
Coordinating with the chef in planning menus
Organising special functions and ensuring function service is seamless and meets client’s expectations
Managing inventories and financial transactions
Organizing the procurement and set price of goods according to company’s budget
Ensuring that the restaurant is functional, clean, and comply with health regulations
Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints.
Hire, train, and supervise food service and kitchen staff
Lead by example and promote a positive work environment
Managing staff roster and schedule according to the needs of the operation and budget
Monitor and evaluate staff performance regularly
Accept restaurant reservations, assist customers, and take orders.
