About You
Mates would call you a true “Chippy Guru” with a rock-solid grasp of all things carpentry. You’ve got a knack for leading a small crew or are eager to step up from Carpenter to Lead Chippy. With at least 5–7 years of experience post-apprenticeship, you’ve tackled high-end builds, renovations, and extensions. Reading and interpreting plans is second nature, and you thrive on solving problems and making decisions to get the job done right.

Role Overview
As our Lead Carpenter, you’ll take on significant responsibility, guiding projects with precision and pride while fostering the growth of our close-knit carpentry team. This role offers exciting opportunities to excel as a craftsman and grow professionally through hands-on leadership and off-tools business learning. Responsibilities
Lead carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality framing, finishing, and custom installations.
Mentor and support a tight-knit team of carpenters, fostering collaboration and skill development.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other trades to keep projects on time and to standard.
Review working drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with design, building codes, and safety regulations.
Estimate material needs and manage resources efficiently to minimize waste.
Solve on-site challenges with innovative solutions, maintaining a keen eye for detail.
Participate in off-tools learning opportunities, including business management, budgeting, and client relations.
Uphold a culture of craftsmanship, safety, and pride in every project.
Articulate, and be a champion of our Brand and our Business at a high level
Non-smoker
Qualifications
5+ years of carpentry experience outside of your Apprenticeship, with 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong carpentry skills, with expertise in tools, techniques, and materials.
A team player with excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
Passion for craftsmanship and a commitment to delivering flawless work.
Basic knowledge of building codes and safety standards.
Eagerness to learn business skills, such as project budgeting and client management.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
