PERTH GLORY FOOTBALL CLUB - ACADEMY COACH

Overview

A Perth Glory Academy Coach is to manage and execute for the development of players. You are to ensure the coaching sessions implemented are in line with the clubs’ philosophies and methodologies, whilst ensuring the sessions are relevant to the age group of players and delivering related practices that are associated with excellence in football.

Position: Academy Coach

Age Group: 9-20 years

Status: Casual or Part-Time Roles

Location: Multiple locations around Perth and surrounding suburbs.

Responsibilities

Support the development of all Academy Players.

Monitor players and report their progress on a regular basis

Completion of regular reporting

Commit to a training and games programme as required

To demonstrate the ability to motivate players and staff.

Comply with all company policies/procedures regarding health, safety, and security

Personal Qualities

A professional “can do” attitude with strong organisational and administrative skills

A desire to seek solutions and a genuine team player.

A person who shows empathy with young people and challenges.

A dynamic, highly motivated, hardworking, high-achieving, and enthusiastic individual

Someone who is responsible and accountable for ensuring a high quality of work

Essential Skills and requirements

Hold or be willing to apply for a current volunteer “working with children” check.

Hold a current AFC B Diploma or equivalent coaching accreditation.

Desirably have a minimum of 3 years of coaching experience at the junior or senior level.

Willingness to work collaboratively and transparently with management and coaches.

Ability to work closely with the Academy and technical directors.

High-level interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

Knowledge and experience working in talented player/coach development.

Experience in establishing and managing coach/player development programs.

Ability to provide leadership and direction.
