About the role

Analytical Services Tasmania (AST) provides testing services to government, businesses, and members of the public.

In this role, the Laboratory Technical Officer will:

Prepare and perform analysis of samples.

Produce results in accordance with quality control requirements.

Operate, calibrate, and maintain specialized laboratory instruments and equipment.

Maintain laboratory records, including receipt and registration of samples.

Complete associated administrative duties.

Our ideal candidate has

Expertise in laboratory methods and practices.

Knowledge of laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures within a NATA-accredited environment.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

A Certificate III or Certificate IV in laboratory operations or an equivalent.
