Junior Safety Officer, Location, Brackenfell, Northern Suburbs. Junior Safety Officer position available in an upcoming company focused on Optic Fibre To The Home Implementation. Currently active on the Vumatel Fibre To The Home Project in Cape Town. Ideal candidate would be a young individual looking to grow into a health and safety career path and be focused on continual improvement of internal systems.

Job functions will include but not be limited to: Daily site observations, Maintaining work file, Supervision on working site/s, Conducting risk assessments, Conducting toolbox talks, Presenting in-house training to teams.

Job Requirements: Well spoken in English / Afrikaans. Valid South African Driver’s License. Own vehicle (fuel allowance will be provided).

Beneficial qualifications / experience: Health and Safety Diploma or Certificate. SAMTRAC or similar course. NEBOSH or similar course. Introductory safety course NQF Level 2. Experience in the Fibre To The Home Industry. Experience in construction / civil work. Salary expectancy R8 000 per month. Company will provide training where it deems necessary to grow the individual.
