Ode to Sirens is a vibrant bar and restaurant in the heart of Fremantle's historic west end. We're known for playful cocktails, delicious Greek share plates, and a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. We also host an array of functions and events in our Corner Room, whether it be a birthday, a wedding, or a local band performing live.
About the Role
We’re looking for a switched-on event coordinator and duty manager to join our team. This is a dynamic role that blends event planning with on-the-ground leadership. You’ll be the person who brings our events to life and keeps service running smoothly. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, creative, and passionate about Fremantle's live music scene.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating and delivering in-house events, functions, and private bookings.
Managing guest inquiries, run sheets, floor plans, and internal communications.
Engaging with the local community arts scene and helping to facilitate one-off events.
Managing social media output.
Ensuring all guest correspondence is dealt with promptly and correctly.
Acting as Duty Manager during service—leading the FOH team and overseeing bar/floor operations.
Creating great guest experiences and supporting a positive team culture.
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality and events.
RSA and Approved Manager’s Card (or willing to obtain)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Great communication and people management skills.
A passion for music, performance, and the arts.
A love of hospitality and creating a vibrant atmosphere
