About you
We are looking for a dual-registered nurse and midwife who has experience in antenatal, postnatal, birth suite, and special care and an interest in women's health (gynecological and breast surgery).
You will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate care in a patient-focused environment.The role is available on a flexible basis, either full-time, part-time, or casual.
Key Responsibilities
Practice in accordance with Calvary and relevant government health policies and procedures, the position description, code of conduct, and industrial agreements.
Giving direct antenatal care to mothers
Giving direct postnatal care to mothers and newborns in Calvary's maternity unit
Provide specialized care to babies who require additional support and monitoring following their birth.
Hands-on experience in labor and delivery support and documentation.
Giving direct care to all patients on St Gerard's ward (women and children) and using a patient-centered approach to patient assessment
Maintaining Continuity of care for each patient
What you bring
Current registration with AHPRA as both a nurse and a midwife. Only those who have an AHPRA as both a registered nurse AND midwife will be considered.
Demonstrated experience in antenatal, postnatal, birth suite and special care
Bachelor's Degree in Midwifery or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation
