Our client, a global SaaS leader and top Fortune 100 tech company, is seeking an experienced technical support engineer to join their highly skilled APJ performance support team. You'll dive deep into complex web application performance issues, troubleshoot critical incidents, and ensure seamless experiences for global enterprise customers. Key Responsibilities:
Become an SME for high-priority L2 performance issues, ensuring enterprise customers have a seamless experience.
Proactively troubleshoot and optimize web application performance, leveraging your deep knowledge of application stacks and cloud platforms.
Analyze large log files to identify root causes and provide effective, data-driven resolutions.
Collaborate directly with global customers, as well as internal product and engineering teams, to drive high-impact outcomes.
Continuously expand your skills with new cloud technologies and platform features in an innovative environment.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience in a customer-facing application or technical support role (within a SaaS or web-based platform environment would be an advantage).
Well versed in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle), including performance tuning, querying, and indexing.
Solid experience with Linux/Unix or Microsoft Server operating systems.
Some experience in scripting languages (preferably writing or debugging JavaScript code for troubleshooting purposes); Other languages like Python, or Shell scripting are acceptable
Familiarity with web application components, performance optimization techniques, and networking fundamentals.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and explain technical solutions clearly
Nice to Haves:
Knowledgeable with Java or other OO languages
Previous experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
Knowledge of ITIL, CMDB, or SaaS performance best practices
Background in software development or e-commerce applications
