Multiple AO4 Policy Officer vacancies are available in the Policy and Legislation division of the Queensland Revenue Office (QRO).
These position are based in our Brisbane office.
In this role, you will be a key member of the Policy and Legislation Division which serves to apply, review and appropriately maintain Queensland's revenue legislation and provide reliable revenue policy advice to the Queensland Government.

Your typical day as a Policy Officer may include:
Reviewing submissions from taxpayers, grant applicants and advisors, researching and analysing the relevant legislation and policy, and providing advice in the form of briefing notes to the Under Treasurer and Commissioner of State Revenue.
Considering policy proposals from Queensland Government agencies and providing advice to the Senior Executive Team on any implications on state revenue legislation or administration.
Preparing responses to correspondence received by the Treasurer, Under Treasurer or Commissioner of State Revenue/Registrar, State Penalties Enforcement Registry.
Working with operational teams across the Queensland Revenue Office (QRO) and policy teams in Queensland Treasury to resolve a range of issues, including assisting with research on novel or emerging tax policy issues.
Assisting with progressing amendments to Queensland's revenue legislation and supporting the amendments through parliamentary processes.
You will be supported by a positive, constructive, team and divisional leaders as you do your work.
