DCT Australia is in an exciting growth phase and is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Manager to help drive that expansion both operationally and commercially.
This is a leadership role for someone who can build the workforce, manage projects, and ensure financial performance turning plans into results.
About the Role
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day civil operations while also driving workforce expansion and cost efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project delivery, resource planning, and contract management with the ability to recruit and lead teams across multiple sites.
This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone who can balance field work with project and financial oversight ensuring DCT Australia delivers quality, safety and profitability across our projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver civil projects safely, on time, and within budget
Recruit, coordinate, and manage workforce and subcontractors
Oversee plant, equipment, and material allocation across projects
Manage and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance and profitability
Maintain cost control and monitor project budgets, invoicing, and reporting
Build workforce capacity and structure for long-term growth
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
Implement and uphold company systems for safety, quality, and performance
Support estimating, tendering, and business development efforts
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing civil construction projects from start to finish
Experience tendering and delivering Government projects between 10 - 50 million
Strong leadership skills ability to recruit, mobilise, and lead teams
Sound understanding of contract administration and cost management
Experience with project budgets, progress claims, and financial reporting
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong background in subdivisions, earthworks, road construction and hydraulic infrastructure works
Solid understanding of plant and equipment utilisation
Practical, hands-on leader who can make decisions and get things done
