For Grounds Person or Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping and grounds standards for prominent schools in Brisbane northern and western suburbs. A permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday with a rotating Saturday roster within an established educational institution.

Requires: demonstrated skills in grounds maintenance, irrigation, equipment operation, and workplace health and safety compliance.

Salary guide: 58,000 - 68,000 per annum.

Location: Brisbane northern and western suburbs.

Your normal day will involve:

Maintaining lawns, garden beds, pathways, and minor irrigation projects across one or two school campuses.

Garden bed development, including planting, mulching, and soil conditioning.

Operating and maintaining grounds tools and machinery safely and effectively.

Assisting minor maintenance tasks and supporting setup/pack-up for school functions and events.

Participating in a rotating facilities roster, including occasional weekend and after-hours work.

Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety policies and student protection standards.

The Grounds Person will enjoy autonomy and variety across two campuses approximately 20-25 minutes apart, combining technical tasks such as irrigation management with collaborative teamwork. You will need:

Proven grounds maintenance and horticultural skills, including irrigation and machinery operation.

Strong understanding of workplace health and safety standards.

Ability to work flexibly across two locations and participate in weekend rosters.
