This NSW Government program: RegStar26 is delivering a major regulatory technology uplift through to 2026. The program is modernising legacy systems across licensing, vehicles and buses, replacing them with scalable, user-focused digital products. Delivery sits within Group Technology and is done in close partnership with the business, using agile ways of working and cross-functional squads.

The environment is fast paced, collaborative and still being shaped. Team members are expected to take ownership, communicate clearly and contribute beyond a narrow role definition.

About your new role!

As a Senior UX Designer, you will play a key role in shaping user experiences across complex, enterprise-scale digital products within a large regulatory transformation program.

This role blends hands-on UX design with strong stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with developers, testers, product managers and business stakeholders to design intuitive, accessible and scalable user journeys across multiple schemes.

Key tasks for this role include:

Leading UX design across complex, multi-workflow digital products

Designing user journeys, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma

Contributing to and evolving shared design systems and standards

Working closely with developers to ensure designs translate into buildable solutions

Participating in agile ceremonies and collaborating within delivery squads

Engaging with business stakeholders to understand workflows and user needs

Championing accessibility, usability and consistency across products

Supporting testing and iteration through user feedback and delivery outcomes

About You!

You are a senior UX practitioner who is comfortable operating in complex environments where requirements evolve and collaboration is essential.

You will bring:

Strong experience as a Senior UX Designer on large digital or enterprise programs

Hands-on expertise with Figma and modern UX design practices

Experience working in agile delivery environments

Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with non-technical stakeholders

Ability to balance user needs with delivery constraints

Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving priorities

A proactive, delivery-focused mindset

Nice to have:

Experience working on government or regulatory platforms

Exposure to SaaS or large platform-based digital products

Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams

Role Title: Senior UX Designer

Contract Length: 6 months

Pay Rate: 900 to 1,000 per day + super

Location: Parramatta, Macquarie Park and Sydney CBD

Work Model: Hybrid, 2 to 3 days onsite required
