As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer or Licensed Electrician to join our team in a Solar Engineer / Technical Support role, supporting our installers, customers and sales team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on technical role that sits at the centre of our operations. You will support installation teams, assist customers post-install and ensure systems are designed, installed and maintained to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
Project coordination and management
Assisting with installation scheduling
Liaising with installers and customers to ensure smooth project delivery
Technical support
Providing technical support to solar and battery installers
Liaising with manufacturers for advanced technical support and passing information onto installers
Assisting with site-specific layouts, designs and system configuration
After-sales support
Managing customer technical enquiries and warranty claims
Troubleshooting system performance issues and coordination resolutions
Compliance and process improvement
Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Assisting in developing and improving internal technical processes
Sales and business development support
Providing technical support to the sales team
Assisting with proposals, system reports and technical documentation
About You
You may be an Electrical Engineer or a Licensed Electrician with solar industry experience
You will ideally have:
Experience in the solar industry (essential)
Strong understanding of solar PV and battery system design and installation
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including the ability to prepare technical and analytical reports
Experience using design tools such as Nearmap and OpenSolar
Knowledge of SketchUp and Skelion is an advantage
Electrical licence or engineering qualification
CEC/SAA accreditation (Designer and/or Installer) is preferred but not essential
