Our Kent Street Private Day Surgery, located within our Sydney CBD clinic, specialises in gynaecological and fertility services. We are currently experiencing a period of growth and innovation, with an expansion of our surgical offerings to meet increasing patient demand.
Our procedures currently include IVF, gynaecology and urology services, with orthopaedics anticipated to be introduced as part of our continued development.

A role with unique responsibilities
This is a 12-month contract opportunity (parental leave cover). We are open to a full-time or part-time arrangement (minimum 0.6 FTE) for the right candidate.
The Day Surgery Team Leader plays a pivotal leadership role, working in partnership with the Director of Nursing to:
Provide strategic and operational leadership, governance, and direction for the Day Hospital services and to monitor and evaluate clinical practice and service delivery standards.
Attain and maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance of the day surgery’s facilities and for risk management in NSQHSS audits and Quality Management.
Build effective partnering relationships with our Clinicians and Anaesthetics
Lead and manage the Day Hospital team and create a thriving workplace culture.
Coordinate and support the journey of day hospital patients and manage a patient load.
With exceptional service, underpinned by compassion and attention to detail, you will directly enhance the experience of patients undertaking procedures, especially those related to gynaecology and fertility.

The ideal candidate will see their role as vital to the success of the organisation. Our Day Surgery Team Leader will be sensitive to the needs of patients and team members and will support their wellbeing through timely and considered communication. Ideally you will bring the following:
Experience in a position equivalent to, or more senior than, a clinical leader in a private health facility or a public hospital (minimum 5 years)
RN Qualification
Demonstrated high level of Perioperative clinical knowledge and skills
Experience with accreditation audits
Contemporary and broad knowledge of the NSW healthcare sector
Knowledge of healthcare quality systems, accreditation processes and regulation
Application of clinical knowledge and skilled at providing primary nursing care to patients
General knowledge of IVF treatment and protocols (ART)
Competency to lead, manage, develop and mentor staff
A track record of building high performance and engaged teams
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build relationships
Ability to have difficult conversations with respect, integrity and open disclosure
Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
A strong track record of delivering process and efficiency improvements
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Competent user of Microsoft Office Skills.
