ING Australia’s Business Banking team is looking to hire a Lending Support Officer within our Commercial Property Finance (CPF) team, based in our Sydney office.
As a Lending Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth execution of commercial property lending by ensuring accurate processing, operational compliance and efficient deal administration across the full lending lifecycle. You’ll partner closely with Deal Originators, Credit Risk, KYC, and other internal stakeholders to progress deals from initial approval through to settlement and ongoing portfolio management.

What you’ll do
Prepare and process commercial property credit approval packs and upload accurate loan information into ING systems.
To assist Deal Originator Team in obtaining credit approvals (including annual reviews) from ING Risk Management.
Support pre?settlement activities by entering loan covenants, loading securities and insurance details, and notifying internal teams of approved transactions.
Prepare and lodge KYC approval packs, creating cases in ING systems and liaising with KYC/CDD teams to resolve information gaps and progress approvals.
Manage end?to?end deal administration, including processing interest rate resets, fee payments, drawdowns, consents, and loan discharges.
Maintain portfolio data by monitoring registers, updating system records, and supporting periodic KYC reviews for existing clients.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve loan queries and ensure accurate, compliant deal execution.
Complete ad?hoc account management tasks, maintain file accuracy, and uphold ING’s policies, processes and mandatory training requirements.
What we’re looking for
Tertiary qualification in business, finance, commerce or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in banking or financial services, ideally within lending operations, settlements, or business banking support.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and familiarity with KYC/CDD processes.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn banking systems (FNS / BANCS or similar).
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to SLAs, and maintain composure in fast?paced environments.
A proactive, reliable team player who embraces change and demonstrates high integrity, customer focus, and problem?solving capability.
