Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Assembly Fitter with strong hands-on experience in the repair, manufacture and remanufacture of hydraulic cylinders for our well-established client in Mackay.

In a perfect world, you will bring proven leading hand experience within a hydraulic cylinder workshop environment. However, we are also open to speaking with experienced Assembly or Disassembly Fitters who are ready to step up, or candidates with solid cylinder rebuild experience who demonstrate leadership capability.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

Assembly, repair, overhaul and remanufacture of hydraulic cylinders and components

Leading and supporting workshop personnel (where applicable)

Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency

Using precision measuring equipment

Assisting with training and development of apprentices and team members

Contributing to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

About You

To be successful, you will have:

Trade qualification as a Fitter

Strong cylinder rebuild experience

Ability to work unsupervised and follow supervisor direction

High attention to detail and strong work ethic

Commitment to workplace safety and quality procedures

Current driver’s licence and reliable transport

Full Australian working rights

Desirable:

Rigging and Dogging Ticket and Forklift Licence

4-Day Work Week

Competitive Rates

Shift Loadings: 15% afternoon shift, 30% night shift

All overtime paid at double time

24-hour operation:

Day Shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm

Day, Afternoon and Night shifts available
