This is a Shoalhaven Heads based position and currently looking for support workers who can support participants in Shoalhaven Heads.

Are you a compassionate, reliable, and experienced support worker who takes pride in providing meaningful care? AvisCare is seeking dedicated Support Workers and Team Leads to join our growing team across Permanent, Part-Time and Casual roles.

We support people living with disability to live independently, connect with their community, and live fulfilling lives. Our clients range in needs and personalities, and we pride ourselves on making thoughtful staff-client matches based on both skills and values.

Your Role

You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, inclusion, and wellbeing. Every day is different to and meaningful.

Typical responsibilities may include:

Personal care and manual handling

Medication and mealtime support

Domestic assistance and transport

Social and community access

Building strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families

What We’re Looking For

Experience working with people with disability (especially in home or community settings)

Genuine empathy, patience, and a professional attitude

Ability to commit to consistent, ongoing shifts

Flexibility to work across multiple clients and settings

Requirements

We welcome candidates who already hold the following, or are willing to obtain them:

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Police Clearance

Current First Aid Certificate

COVID-19 Vaccination

Manual Handling training (desirable)

Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support or similar (desirable)

Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle

Full working rights in Australia
