About the role
Permanent / ESO Grade 3
Monday to Friday to 37.5 hours per week to 8.00am to 4.00pm
42 weeks per year (including all school term weeks)
We are seeking an experienced Resource Centre Officer to join our Secondary Campus to be responsible for the daily operation of the resource centre for our school community. The successful candidate will be the front face of the Centre for our students and staff to access resources and other materials.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support and guidance to students and staff using substantial applied theoretical knowledge and experience to locate and access reference materials and information.
Use Schools Catalogue Information Service for cataloguing all resources.
Collate borrowing and overdue lists, distribute overdue notices for students and staff.
Supervise students from 8:00 am to 8:25 am and from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm each school day in the Resource Centre and at other times.
Prepare and generate basic reports for leaders.
Plan, organise and conduct tasks associated with the annual stock-take.
Assist with budget preparation for the Resource Centre to support the needs of the school.
Essential Requirements
A Certificate IV in Library and Information Services (or equivalent) and/or relevant demonstrated competencies in a comparable role.
Hold a current acceptable Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance & screening to work in Catholic Education South Australia.
Hold current certification in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Settings.
First Aid Qualification.
