About The Role:
This nationally recognised commercial law firm is seeking a Senior Property Paralegal or Licensed Conveyancer to join its busy Real Estate team based in Sydney. The role provides leave coverage for the current Conveyancer for six months or longer, with potential for contract extension or permanent employment.
The successful candidate will run NSW conveyancing matters independently, managing property sale transactions from commencement to settlement with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include:
Settlements via PEXA
Preparing transaction documentation
Conducting property searches
Liaising with clients, agents, and counterparties.
A major attraction of this role is the opportunity to work closely with a highly regarded Real Estate partner, gaining exposure to complex property development and investment projects while benefiting from mentorship and guidance.
The team also includes a junior paralegal, offering opportunities to mentor and delegate tasks, while other aspects of the current Conveyancer’s workload will be absorbed elsewhere in the business. This is a full-time role with strong autonomy and excellent career development potential.
The Ideal Candidate
You will ideally bring:
Proven NSW conveyancing experience, with the ability to manage files independently from start to finish
Confidence using PEXA to complete settlements
Experience preparing documentation, conducting searches, and managing client and counterparty communications
Senior paralegal experience or equivalent capability to mentor junior staff
Broader property experience is welcome, but strong conveyancing expertise is essential
Lawyers currently between roles are welcome to apply if happy to work in a conveyancer or paralegal capacity
Experience with property search providers such as InfoTrack is desirable.
