Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Co-Head of Learning Enrichment.( An experienced educator to lead student support, academic extension, and curriculum differentiation. It emphasizes leadership in personalized learning, NCCD compliance, and staff mentoring to foster an inclusive school culture.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an innovative, passionate, and collaborative Co-Head of Learning and Enrichment to join our leadership team. This pivotal role is responsible for driving a culture of excellence in teaching and learning, specifically focusing on nurturing high-potential learners and providing targeted support for students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement school-wide strategies for differentiation, extension, and student support.
Curriculum Development: Work with academic staff to enhance curriculum pathways and enrich learning opportunities.
Case Management and NCCD: Oversee the identification, assessment, and documentation of students with additional needs, ensuring compliance with NCCD requirements.
Mentoring and Coaching: Support staff through classroom modelling, coaching, and mentoring in evidence-based teaching practices.
Community Partnership: Liaise with parents, staff, and external professionals to support student wellbeing and academic growth.
Key Selection Criteria (Key Attributes)
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within learning support or enrichment.
High-level knowledge of differentiated teaching practices and diverse learner needs.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team and build capacity in others.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills, particularly regarding data management and documentation.
Commitment to student safety, wellbeing, and maintaining a positive child-safe culture.
Special Education oriented undergraduate degree studied at an accredited Australian University.
3-5 years’ experience/managerial experience in a similar role.
Experience teaching/dealing with children with diverse educational needs
Strong understanding of curriculum design and assessment practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
Qualifications
Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Education, with specialization in Special Education or Gifted Education desirable.
Current NSW Teacher Registration (e.g., NESA, QCT).
Working with Children Check.
