About the role

As a Senior Design Manager, you will have technical, commercial and management accountability for Enerven’s highest risk delivery projects that exceed 100million. Your role will be critical in ensuring the successful engineering delivery of Enerven’s substation, BESS and solar projects.

You will also play a key role in the execution of Enerven's growth strategy by helping Enerven adapt to new markets and technologies. You will contribute to and support the process of identifying and securing new projects/contracts through early contractor involvement and display an ability to lead with engineering-based solutions. 

Key deliverables in this role include:

Providing leadership and technical expertise across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning

Coordinating, problem solving and interacting with various teams to ensure high quality, on-time and on-budget deliverables

Building client relationship, fostering strong connections and delivering timely reports on progress

Reviewing and analysing complex technical studies, project scopes, specifications and drawings

Preparing project delivery schedules and proposals to maximise margin and minimise risk

Training and guiding engineering design teams, fostering professional growth and establishing robust templates for the design management function.

About you

You are an experienced Senior Design Manager with specialised knowledge of technical requirements, project management functions, including schedule, cost, client and commercial management.

You will ideally come from an EPC background and will bring:

Specialised knowledge of distribution and transmission systems, including substations

Cross disciplinary technical expertise in substation, BESS and/or solar engineering activities

Highly developed people technical leadership and mentoring skills.

Highly developed technical communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with executive-level stakeholders.

Specialised knowledge of electrical infrastructure project design risk and commissioning risk management.

Specific knowledge in selection of substation equipment and material
