The Role:
Global Relay is experiencing tremendous growth and looking to update, design and implement a finance and billing system to operate in lockstep with our internally developed systems to support our ongoing business needs.
We are searching for a Business Analyst - Enterprise Architecture and System implementation to be responsible for the design of a new finance and billing system, its integration into customer-facing systems within the company, and to facilitate project coordination of implementing the new accounting and billing system. The successful candidate will oversee technical and logistical coordination of the project encompassing the entire revenue cycle from “quote to cash”. Working closely with key stakeholders in the company (cross-functional, including Sales, Provisioning, Finance and Development), the candidate will be responsible to roll out the multi-phase updates to the finance system, which will be selected from a shortlist of cloud-based vendors.
During implementation, the Business Analyst will coordinate the execution of the project and ensure supporting development and configuration work is aligned with goals. The successful candidate will need to bring together requirements from multiple stakeholder groups and provide the required input to align the implementation of the new finance and billing system with the continued development of Global Relay’s internal systems.
Success in this role will be measured by the successful implementation of a new accounting and billing system and its integration into the Global Relay customer-facing systems to form a robust and scaleable base for future growth.
Role Responsibilities:
• Ownership of project management for the multi-phase project, reporting into the Director of Finance
• Document and analyze the current “quote to cash” process to provide all stakeholders with foundational knowledge of what exists today
• Identify improved process based on an integrated billing system and develop stakeholder consensus
• Lead requirements definition for the integrated billing system working with assigned stakeholders in Sales, Provisioning, Finance, Development and other departments as required
• Coordinate core accounting requirements with stakeholders in Accounting and Finance to embed in implementation plan
• Define a multi-phase implementation plan across organizational functions such that operational goals can be achieved with a manageable level of business disruption
• Work with the Business Analysts, Product Management, and Development teams to create requirements and implementation plans governing integration of internal sales and service management systems to the new billing system.
• Educate and mentor business and technical stakeholders in the objectives and goals related to their areas of involvement and execution
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience that includes project management and responsibilities as an Enterprise Architect
• Full development lifecycle experience from inception to delivery to implementation
• Strong sense of urgency and track record for getting the job done
• Broad technical background preferably in a high tech software environment
• Practical knowledge of TOGAF
• Experience with finance and billing systems in an enterprise environment
• Hands-on experience with change management in an enterprise environment
• Exceptional ability to communicate, build consensus, deal with political situations, and to take on large organizational challenges
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to build repeatable process
• Ability to handle multiple aspects of a project at one time
• An ability to see the big picture and to develop holistic solutions from diverse stakeholder requirements
• An ability to clearly align solutions with explicit business objectives
• Familiarity with SalesForce or other CRM is an asset
