Wunan Health and Well-Being Centre is a multidisciplinary, accredited healthcare provider delivering high-quality services throughout the East Kimberley. Conveniently located in a modern, purpose-built facility in the heart of Kununurra, Wunan Health is proudly owned and operated by Wunan Foundation, an East Kimberley Aboriginal development organisation.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our administration team in a full-time capacity. This is a pivotal frontline role supporting our health services, with opportunities to work across either the GP/Allied Health Clinic or headspace Kununurra.
About the Role
We are looking for someone who demonstrates professionalism, discretion and exceptional customer service. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be highly organised, and have the ability to manage competing priorities while working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to provide administrative support across Wunan Health services is essential.
Previous experience in an administrative or medical reception role is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for patients and visitors.
Answer telephone enquiries courteously and efficiently.
Receive and communicate messages verbally, electronically and in writing.
Liaise compassionately with patients, families and carers.
Communicate effectively with GPs, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
Schedule appointments using a computerised booking system.
Scan, file and manage electronic documentation.
Process banking, mail and EFTPOS transactions.
Utilise Microsoft Office and practice management software, including Best Practice (BP).
Work collaboratively within the administration team while independently managing allocated tasks.
About You
You will have:
Previous administration or medical reception experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
A high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Best Practice (BP) software (desirable).
