About the role

We're after a fully qualified Senior Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. This is a permanent, locally based position — not FIFO — working across the full range of commercial and industrial systems with the autonomy of a senior tradesperson and the backing of a team that wants you to do your best work. You'll take genuine ownership of your day, mentor our apprentices and help keep the Goldfields cool and running.

What you'll be doing

Servicing, installing, diagnosing and repairing commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems — split, multi-head, ducted, VRV/VRF, package units and industrial chillers

Working to current Australian Standards, refrigerant handling requirements and WHS obligations at all times

Responding to breakdowns, including a share of the 24/7 on-call roster

Communicating clearly with clients and the office, and spotting opportunities to add value on site

Mentoring and developing apprentices

Managing your vehicle, stock and complete job paperwork — job notes, certifications, photos and stock orders

What we're looking for

Essential:

ARCtick refrigerant handling licence

Restricted electrical licence

Current C-class driver's licence

Working Safely at Heights ticket

Desirable:

EWP (elevated work platform) licence

Forklift licence

Experience with commercial and industrial refrigeration, chillers and Daikin equipment

Above all, we want a technician who takes obvious pride in their workmanship, communicates honestly, and works well both on their own and as part of a team.
