Software Engineer
At Eventsage we're changing the way that events are planned and executed. We're innovating in a space that hasn't undergone much change in decades, and making it easier for anyone planning an event to get it done.
We're a diverse team of business and software-minded professionals with a strong interest in planning events and making it easy. Our office is in Vancouver, British Columbia, and we have the vision and ambition to grow quickly. This means that we're always looking to meet new and talented people to join in on our fun and help us grow!
Our office is located in Gastown, surrounded by countless fantastic places to eat and all the culture of upcoming and growing Vancouver businesses. We're proud of our little space and believe in an open-concept office where everyone works within earshot of everyone else. Work-life balance is important so we firmly believe that everyone should go home for dinner with their family. We bike to work in the morning, and leave before sunset to catch a lap of the Sea Wall around Stanley Park, play a couple games of Ultimate Frisbee or make tracks on The Mountain. Our dogs sleep at our feet for a good portion of the day and visit with our neighbours' dogs often.
You will...
• be writing code and lots of it
• be required to employ knowledge of our product, maintenance requirements, software design and development standards in your everyday work
• take direction from and report directly to the Lead Software Engineer

You are...
• a full-stack web software engineer who has experience with some or all of our technology stack and has ideas about what we're missing
• a strong and eager communicator in spoken and written English
• comfortable developing in a Linux or OSX environment every day
• up to date with the newest tech and like to share
You have...
• experience with Test Driven Development
• experience working on live production-critical projects
• a bachelor's degree in Computing Science or equivalent
