SkillCentred Queensland Inc. is a small not for profit RTO that has been operating across Queensland providing Industry Training, Employment Assistance and other labour market programs for over 30 years.

Seeking two experienced Supervisors on a fixed-term contract. One position will be based in Toowoomba, and the other in Dalby.

The Role

We are looking for two experienced candidates on a fixed-term contract to work with a team of construction trainees on community projects. The selected candidate for each area will:

Lead a team of program participants 9 days/fortnight

Deliver hands-on practical construction skills

Mentor participants and assist with transition to work

Liaise with community groups regarding basic construction projects

Schedule day-to-day construction activities

Be available to commence in later October

The Person

We are seeking someone who has:

Experience and/or willingness to work with unemployed and disadvantaged jobseekers

Experience and/or willingness to work with a range of stakeholders eg. Community groups and job active agencies

Experience in the construction industry, holding at least a Certificate III in Construction (or an equivalent qualification) or higher

Although not essential, training and assessor qualifications would be advantageous: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)

Good understanding of the NVR Standards for RTO's

Remuneration: Candidates with an Australian Business Number (ABN) are encouraged to apply. The pay rate will vary depending on whether you are engaged as an employee or as a contractor.
