The Opportunity

Apply your SAP functional analysis and system-design experience to technology improvements within a large Australian Government agency.

Working with business users, developers and testers, you will translate business needs into requirements, functional specifications and practical solution designs, then support the delivery and ongoing operation of system changes.

This opportunity suits a SAP CRM Functional Analyst, SAP CRM Systems Analyst, SAP CRM Business Analyst or SAP CRM Functional Consultant whose experience includes both requirements management and application or component design.

Essential Skills and Experience

Relevant SAP CRM / SAP S/4HANA experience, with clear examples of the platforms, modules and business processes you have supported and your personal contribution.

Experience analysing business processes and eliciting, documenting and prioritising requirements, including maintaining traceability and managing authorised changes.

Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and technical requirements that guide solution design and implementation.

Demonstrated ability to design moderately complex applications or components, including user/system interfaces, appropriate design views, and functional and non-functional requirements.

Ability to assess design options and trade-offs, apply agreed standards, and participate in reviews of specifications and solution designs.

Effective collaboration with business stakeholders, developers and testers, supported by clear technical documentation and practical problem-solving skills.

Highly regarded but not essential:

Experience within government or a comparable large organisation.

Involvement in feasibility assessments, options analysis, cost/benefit assessment or business cases.

Experience helping evaluate prototypes or designs and collect user feedback.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse business processes, requirements and opportunities for system improvements or new features.

Prepare functional specifications, solution documentation and designs for new or existing applications and components.

Review technical options, risks and benefits, and participate in peer reviews of specifications and designs.

Undertake system configuration as required and support the implementation of solutions.

Contribute to test planning, test-coverage reviews and test execution.

Help resolve issues, support daily operations and monitor the performance of business solutions.

Location and Security

The role can be based in Canberra, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Onsite attendance is expected for the first six weeks. A hybrid arrangement may then be considered. Candidates must reside within reasonable travelling time and distance of the relevant office and be able to attend onsite when required.

Candidates must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance and maintain it if required for the assignment.

Include the SAP platforms and modules involved, the requirements and functional specifications you produced, your application/component design work, and any configuration, testing or implementation responsibilities.
