Company: RTTV, On-Air Graphics Director, Location: Washington, DC

RTTV is seeking a Graphics Director to join our company in Washington DC. The position is responsible for on-air graphics production and operations. These responsibilities include overseeing both the graphics artist department as well as the operations of graphics within all shows and newscasts.

 PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: Supervise Graphics Artists; assign daily task, conduct employee reviews, manage employee PTO and employee schedules, Enforcing company protocols as well as those established within the department, Training and maintenance of graphics operators for all shows, Overseeing daily on-air graphics (production and operation) for all shows, Operate on-air graphics during live shows, Assist with and oversee upgrades of all graphics and graphics equipment

 SECONDARY JOB DUTIES: Work with management to maintain style guide standards, including regular updates and development of style guides for new shows, Responsible for new hires, including recruiting, conducting job interviews and assisting management with final decision on hiring, Work with news department on daily content within graphics (including helping with CG content and entry in Dalet; aiding in the conceptualization and implementation of graphics packages for shows), Work with Engineering Department and operators to ensure all graphics equipment is properly maintained

 QUALIFICATIONS: Three plus years of supervising graphics artists in a broadcast environment, Five plus years of operating graphics for live broadcast; previous experience with Vizrt graphics operation a strong plus, Strong communication skills both written and verbal, Bachelor’s Degree in field related to broadcast or communications
