Director of Goaltending

RHP Training Centre is currently pursuing an individual who is dedicated, reliable and outgoing to fill the position of Director of Goaltending.
Key Responsibilities
 develop and deliver fun and exciting goalie training programs for goalies of all ages, from grassroots to professional levels.
 assist with implementation of other RHP curriculums for on-ice and off-ice goaltending programs
 recruit, mentor and train goaltending instructors under our program and assist them in their development as coaches and instructors.
 lead small group and one-on-one skills development sessions.
 instruct clients on proper goaltending movement while using the Blade skating treadmill.
 create and grow relationships with athletes and their parents and be a presence at tryouts, games and local trounaments.
 work in partnership with the Director of Strength and Conditioning to evaluate fitness levels of clients and suggest and implement appropriate programs for clients to advance.
 other duties may include general reception responsibilites, marketing, promotion, sales, opening and closing procedures.
Maximum Qualifications
 valid First Aid and CPR
 valid police check
 must have full understanding of the game of hockey and specifically goaltending movements and have an ability to translate that to others.
 ability to evaluate current programs as well as your own programs to build on and improve areas of weakness.
 goaltending experience at a high level (Professional, Major Junior, College) preferred.
 priority will be given to applicants understanding both player and goaltender positions.
 ability to lead small groups and work with clients of various ages and skill levels including beginners through to professional players.
 willingness to advance career through personal development.
 possess a desire to continually improve oneself as an instructor.
 demonstrate experience in dry-land conditioning programs.
 understanding of development model for clients of all ages and skill levels from beginners to elite professional athletes.
 a willingness to travel.
